Spring Clean-Up

Annual Spring Clean-Up Event is Here

Dates: Saturday, April 23rd - Saturday, May 7th

 Hours of Operation are 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday thru Saturday

 Dumpsters will be available at the Public Works Yard on Old School Road for your household items such as furniture, kitchen & bathroom fixtures, wood, metal, lawnmowers, grills, etc. (All items must have fluids drained) Free mulch is available while it lasts. Mulch will be loaded from an entrance on School Road. Mulch can be loaded 8:00 am until 5:00 pm during Spring Clean Up. Afterwards, mulch will be loaded by appointment only. Call (336) 434-7341 to schedule an appointment. Items to be picked up curb-side: large appliances and water heaters only (all other items must be taken to the Public Works Yard on Old School Road) *Customers need to place items at the curb. The City will pick up within two (2) weeks. (no pickup after May 7th) We will have a separate container for the recycling of electronic items such as computers, printers, TV’s, VCR and DVD players, etc.

Items we CANNOT accept:

  • Oil & Oil Drums
  •  Paint
  •  Propane Tanks
  •  Tires
  •  Automotive Batteries
