ASHEBORO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

MEETING DATE/TIME: TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 2022, AT 7:00 PM

LOCATION: ASHEBORO CITY HALL

146 NORTH CHURCH STREET

ASHEBORO, NORTH CAROLINA 27203

At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, the Asheboro City Council will convene for a special meeting in the council chamber on the second floor of Asheboro City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to consider and act upon the agenda items listed below.

1. Project and budget ordinance amendments pertaining to FY 2021-2022.

2. Asheboro ABC Board transmittals to the city council: Board meeting minutes

for May 2, 2022; an amended budget for FY 2021-2022; the adopted budget for

FY 2022-2023; and the local board’s meeting schedule for FY 2022-2023.

3. A request to advertise electronic public auctions of surplus city-owned personal

property by electronic means only; and a request for authorization to sell three

specific surplus city-owned vehicles by means of public auction.

4. A pre-construction services agreement with the construction manager at risk

for the McCrary Park Renovation Project.

5. A settlement agreement in a civil action (19 CVS 2505) appealing the city

council’s approval in 2019 of a conditional use permit.

6. A request for action on contracting and budgeting issues associated with the

Industrial Park Avenue Sidewalk Improvements Project.

7. A resolution of support for the proposed Memorial Square Whole Block

Redevelopment Project.

8. Final action on the City of Asheboro Budget Ordinance for FY 2022-2023.

9. An interlocal agreement for law enforcement dispatch services.

10. Clarification of the employee policies and procedures manual’s authorization

for departments to implement supplemental compensation policies.

11. Code of Asheboro amendments reflecting fee/rate changes authorized within

the budget ordinance for FY 2022-2023.

The special meeting will be conducted in open session. All interested parties are

welcomed.
